MLT was formed in 2016-2017 by Ika Bible Translation Project as its next step of obedience to the Great Commission. Ika Bible Translation work began in 1998 at Owa-Alidinma (near Agbor) in Delta State, Nigeria by a missionary and his wife, an Ika woman.
